Bridging Nonprofit Board Service to Corporate Boards

Bridging Nonprofit Board Service to Corporate Boards

Thursday, September 18, 2025 (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Nonprofit board experience can be incredibly fulfilling as an end goal. It can also provide valuable pathway for corporate board service. Join us as we explore how MWi members can use their nonprofit board experience to transition to the corporate boardroom. Guests welcome.

Sharing their expertise and insights will be Amy Lindner, President/CEO of United Way Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County and Cristy Garcia-Thomas, President of the National Center for Health Equity. The event will be moderated by: C. Kelly Ottman, PhD, Professor at Radar School of Business, MSOE and Founder/Principal of Leadership Portals, LLC

Prior to the event, a private tour of the Grohmann museum will be offered.  The tour will highlight historical perspectives of women at work.  Please arrive at 3:00 and the tour will begin at 3:15. We encourage registration in advance for the private tour.
