Sharon deGuzman has more than 30 years of investment experience managing a variety of fixed income portfolios. She is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager with Baird Advisors, Robert W. Baird & Co.’s institutional fixed income management group. Sharon has been a named portfolio manager on all Baird Bond Fund offerings since their inception. She plays a leading role in portfolio construction and focuses primarily on taxable portfolios.
Prior to joining Baird Advisors, Sharon was an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Firstar Investment Research and Management Company (FIRMCO), where she specialized in quantitative fixed income analysis and portfolio management.

Sharon is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Milwaukee. She serves on the boards of Marquette University High School (Chair), Catholic Charities Milwaukee (Vice Chair), the American Red Cross of Southeast Wisconsin, and the American Lung Association of Wisconsin. She also serves on the International Finance Committee of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network and the Finance Committee of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School.

Sharon is a Trustee of the Love One Another Campaign for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. She is a former member of the Finance Committee and former Assistant Treasurer of United Way of Greater Milwaukee. Sharon is also a member of TEMPO Milwaukee and Milwaukee Women Inc., and a past co-chair of Baird’s Women Associate Resource Group.

In 2015, Sharon received the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award in the Mentor category. In 2025, she was named one of TEMPO Milwaukee’s 50 Most Influential Women.

Sharon and her husband are serving as the 2026-2027 Chairs of the Catholic Stewardship Appeal for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. They also served as Chairs of the Soles for Catholic Education Walk in 2015 and 2016.

Sharon and her husband are active members of Christ King Parish. They have five children and reside in the Milwaukee area.

Sharon is also an active volunteer at Christ King Parish and School in Wauwatosa, WI. Sharon and her husband Jim are currently serving as co-chairs for the Archdiocese Catholic Stewardship Appeal and served as co-chairs in 2015 and 2016 for the Soles for Catholic Education Walk for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Sharon and her husband Jim have five children and live in Wauwatosa, WI.
