Board Profile

Sherri has extensive experience with contributions at each audit committee meeting and select board of director and compensation committee meetings during her 23 years at ManpowerGroup, most recently as SVP, Corporate Controller and Treasurer. Sherri has also served as Chairperson and on several committees for non-profit boards over the past 20 years. She has driven several initiatives to develop, streamline and execute finance and other processes for these organizations, and was extensively engaged in developing and executing the global finance strategy for ManpowerGroup. Sherri executed ManpowerGroup’s merger and acquisition strategy, including deal analytics, due diligence and integration, of over 40 domestic and international acquisitions comprising over $3B in revenue; she drove capital structure and capital allocation strategy; and she directed the financial reporting process, including financial policy and SOX control enhancements; all with related presentations to the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.

Board Experience

In her 23 years at ManpowerGroup, Sherri presented at each audit committee meeting and at select board of director meetings.  She created various materials for each board and committee meeting, both newly-created and overhauled materials and including a redesigned annual strategic plan, which were well-received by the board, committees and executive management.

Sherri has served on the boards of the Washington County 4-H Horse & Pony Project and the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.  On the Horse & Pony Project board, Sherri served as Chairperson and on several committees for most of her 10 years on the board.  She drove the development and streamlining of numerous policies and processes, including new financial policies, educational practices and participant requirements. As part of her 8 years on the Kidney Foundation board, Sherri served as Treasurer, enhancing their financial policies and being involved in day-to-day treasury operations.

Professional Summary

Sherri is a highly experienced financial executive with deep experience across multiple financial and operational disciplines.  She played a key role in taking ManpowerGroup from an $8B single-brand staffing company, operating in 50 countries, to a $20B multi-brand workforce solutions company operating in 80 countries and territories.  Over this time, Sherri directed the financial reporting process, including staffing of key global financial positions, financial system implementations, process improvement initiatives, new accounting standard adoptions, and financial policy and SOX control enhancements.  She also drove numerous cost reduction and efficiency initiatives globally, resulting in record operating profit margin and earnings per share.

Sherri also has experience operating her own family-owned retail business, increasing revenue and profitability by optimizing procurement, improving inventory management and  reducing non-personnel operating costs by 25%.

Sherri was selected as the Adult Leader of the Year by the Washington County 4-H Horse & Pony Project Board.

Personal

Sherri can often be found spending time with her two adult children or riding her horses and bicycles. She also enjoys playing hockey, snowmobiling, hiking and snow shoeing, in addition to watching movies and attending broadway shows, concerts and sporting events. Sherri shows her AQHA horses competitively at both local AQHA and National championship shows. Sherri has supported Best Buddies by participating in an annual bike ride over the past 10 years, raising in excess of $50,000.
